CCMP CAPITAL NAMES JOHN D. BOWLIN AND JAMES D. SHELTON AS EXECUTIVE ADVISORS


Former Miller Brewing CEO and Former Triad Chairman/CEO to Advise Firm on Consumer and Healthcare Sectors, Respectively

NEW YORK, February 11, 2008 – CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC ("CCMP Capital"), a leading New York-based private equity firm, today announced that John D. Bowlin and James "Denny" Shelton have become executive advisors to the firm, focusing on investment opportunities in the consumer and healthcare sectors, respectively. Mr. Bowlin is a 30-year veteran of Kraft Foods Inc./Philip Morris Companies, Inc. where he served in various leadership capacities including President of Kraft and President and CEO of Miller Brewing Company. Mr. Shelton has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including serving as Chairman and CEO of Triad Hospitals, Inc.

Mr. Bowlin is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Pliant Corporation and Spectrum Brands and a director of Generac Power Systems. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Miller Brewing Company from 1999 until 2003, leading its sale to South African Breweries in 2002, forming one of the largest breweries in the world. From 1985 until 2002, Mr. Bowlin served with Philip Morris Companies, Inc. in increasingly senior roles, including President, International, Kraft, Inc. (1996–1999), President and Chief Operating Officer, Kraft Foods, Inc. (1994–1996), President and Chief Operating Officer, Miller Brewing Company (1993–1994), and President, Oscar Mayer Food Corporation (1991–1993). He is also on the board of the Steppenwolf Theater Company, Chicago. Mr. Bowlin holds a BSBA degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Mr. Shelton is currently Chairman of the Board of Legacy Hospital Partners, a privately held hospital company launched in 2008 that will own, operate and manage acute care hospitals. Prior to Legacy, Mr. Shelton was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Triad Hospitals, Inc., where he led the formation and spin-off of Triad from Columbia/HCA on May 11, 1999. Following Columbia/HCA’s reorganization in January 1998, Mr. Shelton accepted the position as CEO of the Pacific Group that later formed the nucleus of hospitals that became Triad Hospitals, Inc. He initially joined Columbia/HCA as President and CEO of the Central Group in 1994. Previously, he held various executive positions with National Medical Enterprises (now Tenet) including Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President and Regional Vice President. Mr. Shelton has been a hospital administrator in Louisiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois and Missouri. He was elected a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association in 2002, serving on the executive committee until 2006. He was elected chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals in 1999 and served on its board of governors until 2002. Mr. Shelton received his BA degree in political science and history from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
